Vienna is considered one of the largest cities in Austria. It is located in the northeastern part and east from the Dnaube River in the country. Vienna is very famous because of its magnificent old building architectures, century old churches and grand museums. It’s also a city where opera and classical music are highly regarded. Even though place is a bit laid back so far as modernity is concerned, it is nothing short of the beauty due to its rich culture, arts and music. Sports and recreation is also among the best things you will probably have from this type of beautiful Austrian city. Other favorite tourist destinations in Vienna would be the grand imperial palaces of Riesenrad, Schonbrunn and Hofburg. The Schonbrunn palace houses the oldest zoo on the planet, the Tiergarten Schnbrunn. There are also a lot more than a hundred art museums that you can find in the city and collectively, these museums receive a lot more than eight million visitors every year. The most popular modern attractions would be the United Nations Headquarters, Donauturm and Hundertwasserhaus.
Climate: Vienna climate is relatively warm, especially during summer season but winters can get extremely cold dropping to the freezing point. You can enjoy the snowfall in the city from December to March while precipitation is moderate almost every year. The most effective weather to visit the town is during spring and fall.
Transportation: Travelling in and out of Vienna is simple because of its extensive network of transportation. Commuters can choose from a number of types of public transports such as buses and trams however the most frequently used are the subway trains that have five subway lines.
