Eating Healthy – The Real “change Of Life”

December 20th, 2009 by Adriana Noton

Decades ago eating healthy was actually easier than it is today. Fast food restaurants hadn’t really become part of the American culture, and burgers and hot dogs weren’t normal lunch or dinner fare; they were pretty much limited to special occasions such as outdoor cookouts or state fairs.

Even school lunches were completely different. Schools were only allowed to serve milk – no soda, coffee, milk shakes, energy drinks, or even bottled water. Although the food itself frequently had a bad reputation, it was fixed according to the dietary standards of those days and even though the food pyramid has changed dramatically over the years, schools now serve lunches that most parents don’t even want their kids to eat.

Decades ago even schools made kids eat healthier. There wasn’t much of a choice, actually. They got a hot meal, milk, and maybe dessert. No cokes, no vending machines with chips and cookies, no coffee or frapaccuinos, and no energy drinks loaded with sugar and caffeine. Kids got a balanced meal – in accordance with the food pyramid knowledge of the day.

The Great Construction Of Sealy Posturepedic Mattresses

December 12th, 2009 by Anne Randyl

Sealy Posturepedic mattresses are very popular because they’re specifically designed for comfort. The company has become well known for this product line and it’s become one of the best selling mattresses in the world. Sealy debuted their first Posturepedic mattress in the 30’s. People automatically think Posturepedic when they hear Sealy because the two are virtually synonymous in the industry. The company also makes many other different styles of mattresses besides their signature brand.

A queen size mattress contains 782 coils in the support layer. This mattress comes in a pillow top, firm, or plush version. There’s extra foam provided in key places such as the head and hip area giving the Posturepedic 7 different zones of comfort. This additional foam provides more support to reduce pressure points and keep the spine in alignment.

The perimeter of the bed also has extra support from the unicase XT design. The sides of mattresses can sometimes break down which causes sagging. Many times they will deteriorate first because people tend to sit on the edge of the mattress. You will also find latex for additional support at the hip area as this is considered the heaviest point of contact when sleeping.
